Leaky Pixels Abound!

Are you waiting for Google’s Pixel phones? October 4th may be a good day for you.

Google just released a teaser video on YouTube announcing a date of October 4th to watch out for, with a minimalist search bar slowly morphing into a phone while Redbone’s rocking anthem “Come and Get Your Love” completes the short but simple ad.

In addition, a new site has gone up for the event at madeby.google.com – backing up previous rumours that Google plans to market this as the first phone “made by Google”. Visitors are also able to sign up on the page to receive an email saying to “Keep an eye on your inbox. Oct 4.” Android Police corroborates this story by confirming that they’ve received an invitation to an event at 9AM in San Fransisco.

For anyone who’s ever wanted Google to start advertising its in-house Nexus phones, you’re in for a treat. Reports and comments on the internet show that Google has aired the video during on fairly primetime network shows tonight including Monday Night Football and Gotham. Is this a sign that Google is ready to put it’s money where it’s mouth is? I sure hope so.

It sounds like everything will come to a head on October 4th, so stay tuned to our site to keep on top of all the news coming out of Google’s event! screenshot-2016-09-19-at-7-16-29-pm
